"ArmposHospitality" has 4 types of objects that you need know.

They are "Category(種類),Item(項目), InstructionItem(註解項目),InstructionItemGroup(註解項目群)"

"Item"(項目) is the "commodity" that you want to sell.

The max length of "ItemName"(項目名稱) is "100" English characters or "50" Chinese characters.

E.g.1.

"Cappuccino, Latte, Flat White, Long Black, Mocha" are the "Item"(項目).

E.g.2.

"Iced Coffee, Iced Latte, Iced Long Black, Iced Mocha" are the "Item"(項目).

"Category"(種類) is the group of "Items"(項目).

The max length of "CategoryName"(種類名稱) is "30" English characters or "15" Chinese characters.

then the customers could select only one "InstructionItem"(註解項目) in this "InstructionItemGroup"(註解項目群).

It means the customer ordered the "Cold Beverage"(冰飲品).

"Enable/Disable Activated" means "Enable/Disable PriceChange" for the "InstructionItem"(註解項目) of the "SelfOrderService".

If the "Activated" is "True", then we could set up the "Price1 To Price4".

"Hot Beverage"(熱飲品) is the "Category"(種類).

"Cappuccino, Latte, Flat White, Long Black, Mocha" are the "Item"(項目) of the "Hot Beverage"(熱飲品).

"Coffee Milk"(咖啡牛奶) is the "InstructionItemGroup"(註解項目群).

"Skin Milk, Full Cream Milk, Soy Milk, Almond Milk, Coconut Milk" are the "InstructionItems"(註解項目) of the "Coffee Milk"(咖啡牛奶).

we selected the "Cappuccino" as the "Item"(項目).

We selected the "Soy Milk" as the "InstructionItems"(註解項目).

When we enabled the "Activated" for the "Soy Milk" of the "Cappuccino".

then we could modified the "Price1 To Price4".

"Enable/Disable Default" means "Enable/Disable pre-selected" for the "InstructionItem"(註解項目) of the "SelfOrderService".

it means this "InstructionItem"(註解項目) is "pre-selected" in "SelfOrderService",

but the customers could un-select this "InstructionItem"(註解項目) if the customers wanted.

In the other words,

it means the "StoreOwner" recommend customers should select this "InstructionItem"(註解項目),

but it is not compulsory.

"Burger"(漢堡) is the "Category"(種類).

"BBQ Bacon Angus Beef Burger, BBQ Bacon Chicken Burger, BBQ Bacon Fish Burger, BBQ Bacon Meatball Burger, Vegetarian Burger" are the "Items"(項目)

"Sauce"(醬料) is the "InstructionItemGroup"(註解項目群).

"No Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Tomato Sauce, Honey Mustard Sauce, Sweet Sour Sauce, Sweet Chili Sauce, Mayo Sauce, Thousand Island Sauce" are the "InstructionItems"(註解項目) of the "Sauce"(醬料).

The "BBQ Sauce" should "enable Default" and "Disable Must".

It means the "BBQ Sauce" is the "Default", but "BBQ Sauce" is not compulsory.

If the "Default" is "True" and if the "Must" is "False", 

it means the "BBQ Sauce" as the "InstructionItem"(註解項目) is "pre-selected" in "SelfOrderService",

but the customers could un-select this "BBQ Sauce" if the customers wanted.

"Burger"(漢堡) is the "Category"(種類).

"BBQ Bacon Angus Beef Burger, BBQ Bacon Chicken Burger, BBQ Bacon Fish Burger, BBQ Bacon Meatball Burger, Vegetarian Burger" are the "Items"(項目)

"Extra Meat"(肉配料) is the "InstructionItemGroup"(註解項目群).

"No Meat, Pepperoni, Bacon, Meatball, Angus Beef, Chicken, Fish" are the "InstructionItems"(註解項目) of the "Extra Meat"(肉配料).

The "Angus Beef" should "Enable Default" and "Enable Must".

It means the "Angus Beef" is the "Default" and it is also compulsory.

If the "Default" is "True" and if the "Must" is "True", 

it means the "Angus Beef" as the "InstructionItem"(註解項目) is "pre-selected" in the "SelfOrderService".

In other words,

if the customers ordered the "BBQ Bacon Angus Beef Burger",

then the customers have to select this "Angus Beef" as the "InstructionItem"(註解項目)

Please notice that "ArmposHospitality" is the software that could be run in "Windows" operation system.

"ArmposHospitality" has 2 functions.

-----------

"1stFunction" is to provide the "PosMachineService".

-----------

"2ndFunction" is to provide the "SelfOrderService" that provide "menu information" and receive the "customers order" online.

"SelfOrderService" means the "customers" could use their "mobiles" to scan the "QR Code",

then the customers could receive the "menu information" from the "SelfOrderService".

Afterwards, the "customers" could submit their orders with their own "mobiles".

The "SelfOrderService" could receive the "orders" from the "customers".

For another example, "Kiosk" is a "SelfOrderMachine" that could execute the "SelfOrderService".

-----------

The "1stFunction-PosMachineService" could run "offline".

The "2ndFunction-SelfOrderService" requires the "internet connection".

In addition, it also requires a "better performance PosMachine" that run the "Windows" operation system.

The "better performance PosMachine" means cost a little bit more.

Some of "store owners" choose the "1stFunction-PosMachineService" without the "2ndFunction-SelfOrderService" because of "cost".

Some of "store owners" choose the "1stFunction-PosMachineService" with the "2ndFunction-SelfOrderService" because of the "SelfOrderService".

if you chose the "1stFunction-PosMachineService" without the "2ndFunction-SelfOrderService", 

then the value of "InstructionItemGroup"(註解項目群) for all "InstructionItem"(註解項目) could be set to "01".

If you choose the the "1stFunction-PosMachineService" with the "2ndFunction-SelfOrderService",

then you should set your "InstructionItemGroup"(註解項目群) very carefully.

Here is the steps to create "NewMenu" for the "NewStore".

Import from a "SampleMenu.dat" file.

Export to the "ExcelFile" of "Category" and "Item"

Modify the "ExcelFile" of "Category" and "Item"

Restore from the "BlankMenu.dat", then upgrade the database.

Import from the "ExcelFile" of "Category" and "Item"

Backup to a "DatFile".

Modify the "FontColor", "FontSize" and "ButtonColor" if necessary.

Set up the "SubMenu"

Backup to a "DatFile".   Back up the "XML" if necessary.

it would also export all "Items" and all "Categories".

Enter "UserName, Password"

In "Choose a backup:", enter the path of your "dat file".

In my case,

When you try to make an payment, if you saw the error message like "Invalid column name XXX".

It means you might have to upgrade your Database.

Why do you have to upgrade the Database?

"ArmPosHospitality" is a very comprehensive software, 

so our software engineer always release the new version of the "ArmPosHospitality" in order to fix bugs or add new features.  

In this case, our software engineer might modify the database of the "ArmPosHospitality".  

Thus, when our customer upgrade the new version of the "ArmPosHospitality", 

our customer might have to upgrade the database.

No worries, it's super easy.  Let me demonstrate how to upgrade your database.
